This is a very small drawing I began work on a few days ago..following a theme from some of my recent pyrography. Hoping it might make a nice greetings card design...

Poem - 'The Line' by Gill

The beautiful line arising
Plays across the page,
Crystallized in time -
In service to the unseen Master...
Paper, pigment, Muse
Bring joy and terror,
Death and deliverance
With every stroke...

Winter Hare

Winter Hare

Poem - A vision of Sherwoode- by Gill

Last night I saw, as though in dream
Olde Sherwoode Forest, all misty green..
And 'neath a tree stood Robin Hoode-
Hero of that fabled woode!

He smiled at me, and seemed to say-
'You know, I never went away..
Here I dwell, and here I'll stay-
To guard the Forest come what may...'

Then, as I gazed, there shone -so bright
A dazzling azure and emerald Light!
I turned away..I could not look,
As earth trembled and forest shook!

When all was still, I turned to see
With wondrous eyes- a towering tree!
And poised beside this stately Elm
A radiant Stag surveyed his Realm...

The Mirror of Non-duality

Absorbed in The Mirror-
What do I see?
Is that you, precious friend?
Or could it be me?
The Mirror Knows,
And can never lie -
It has no thought of 'you' or 'I'...
Pure and stainless,
So bright! So clear!
Reflecting all things -
Far and near.
I gaze once more
Again to see
With radiant, sparkling clarity -
We are The Mirror!
And the crystal Light!
Our own rainbow colours-
Vibrant! Bright!
The Mirror reflects
Not 'you', not 'me' -
But spontaneous, perfect Unity
